Weekend Goals

I don't have many plans this weekend so I am hoping to get a lot of house stuff done. Here is my list:

Cleaning Goals:

Laundry

Clean out freezer - need a better way to inventory. Had to toss some food... :(

Mop hardwood floors

Clean kitchen (cooking tomato sauce is MESSY!)

Bathrooms

Kitchen Goals:

Make tomato sauce

Make more pesto if basil is ready to harvest

Some freezer cooking

Home Improvement Goals:

Replace kitchen faucet

Paint hallway wall red - taped, primed, 1 coat painted, 2nd coat painted

Possibly transplant cucumbers to ground - made a trellis instead so the vines can climb

I think I am about to call it a day. As you'll see, I was pretty darn productive!

- Grocery store (waiting for HT Super Doubles this Wednesday!)

Hopefully the rest will get done the rest of this week!

Update 1: Day o' Productivity

It has been a slow start to the day because my trip to Lowe's took longer than anticipated. Plus it is about 90 degrees out so I am putting off some of the outside work until it cools off a little this afternoon.

But here is what I have accomplished so far:

Day o' Productivity

I've been out of town A LOT for the past 2 months. It has all been fun and I'd do it again in a heartbeat but it has meant that my home to-do list has been put aside. As a result, I am way behind on certain things PLUS my house is a mess. So it is time to get on top of that.

Here are my (ambitious) goals for the day. I realize I probably won't get them all done but at least everything is written down so that I can come back and finish throughout this next week and in future weekends.

Tuesday To-Do

The to-do lists continue! This will be my last to-do list of the week because I'll be out of town. I am hoping to come back to a nice clean house though - so this stuff needs to get done. Then, next week I will have 4 days to take care of some things before my cousins get here!

Tuesday to-do:
Exercise - severe rain convinced me to stay home :)
Finish Fridge (wipe out drawers and shelves)
Bathrooms - they could use a good cleaning
Vacuum upstairs
Wipe down living room furniture
Dust
I'm sure there will be more...

To-do List

I just came back from a weekend away and I'm looking at another few days away followed by company. Ahhh! So much fun but I am not getting all my cleaning done! My house needs a good thorough cleaning before my cousins arrive. I am going to try to post my to-do lists as I get my house back in order. It is seriously a disaster right now. I might be brave enough to post pictures but we will see.

So - my Monday To-Do list. Most of my Monday items are catch-up items that I should have done this weekend.

- Clean out fridge (toss old food, wipe down shelves, drawers)
- Take out Garbage
- Vacuum downstairs
- Empty dishwasher
- Put away Laundry
- Wash guest sheets and make bed
- Put away outside table - decided this can stay
- Figure out new license plate
- Clean off dining room table disaster
- Exercise

So, that should keep me busy this evening!

Weekend To-Do

The last time I posted a to-do list online it was very motivating. Here's hoping I will be equally motivated this weekend because I have some things I'd like to get done!! I may add to this list as the weekend progresses depending on what I get done and what I feel like doing.

Household:
Paint master bathroom - Done and it is VERY BLUE!
Choose paint color for 1/2 bath - Done! I choose olive green and I love it.
Choose paint color for 2nd full bath
Tape 1/2 bath for painting - Done!
Tape 2nd full bath for painting
Paint 1/2 bath - Done! Barely - those 9ft ceilings almost did me in...

Cleaning:
Clean all bathrooms
Vacuum House - Done!
Sweep kitchen/dining room - Done!

Misc:
Figure out photos to put in hall frame
Advertise desk and entertainment center on craigslist
Organize coupons - This REALLY needed to get done.

Cooking:
Make zucchini bread
Shred zucchini and freeze - I have 5 cups of squash in the freezer - and still some unshredded!
Blanch kale and freeze
Figure out what to do with cabbage

Lets see what else I come up with...
Other things:
Laundry - Done!
Lunch with friend!
Get great deal on stools on craigslist! - Post coming soon!
Second coat/touch up bathroom paint - done!

To-do List

This is my first weekend in my new house that I am actually in town for the entire weekend. I've been putting off a lot of things because I haven't been around and the disarray has been driving me nuts! I have big plans for accomplishing things this weekend and I need some accountability. I'll update this list periodically and I am sure I will add to it but here is what I hope to accomplish:

General cleaning/home maintenance:
- Vacuum downstairs
- Vacuum upstairs
- Do/put away laundry
- Clean master bathroom (the other 2 don't really get used)
- Sweep floor in kitchen and dining room
- Wipe down living room furniture

Outside:
- Sweep front steps
- Sweep back patio
- Replant tomato plants into a bigger pot

Errands:
- Trip to Goodwill to drop off donation
- Trip to Restore to drop off donation
- Trip to Scrap Exchange to drop off donation
- Check Restore for anything good (this is the most fun of the tasks!) - nothing good :(
- Drop off/Pick up Rx

Organization/unpacking:
- Figure out what to do with mess of cable/internet cables
- Finish organizing scrapbooking and craft stuff
- Unpack 2 remaining boxes in guest room

Misc:
- Advertise desk on craigslist
- Advertise entertainment center on craigslist
- Hang pictures throughout the house

Hopeful:
- Pick out paint color for at least 1 bathroom
- Paint bathroom


So - I probably won't get to ALL of that this weekend...but whatever I do get to will be a significant improvement over what is going on right now! I'll update periodically....for now, I'm off! :)
